Starting first Thursday in June at 5:30 there will be a regular ride at the Brant Tract. This will be an informal ride but there will be lots of riders available that will be more than happy to give you some tips.

This is a 10 week course with the goal to cycle 20 KM in 1-1.5 hr comfortably. This is a great course for those looking to do their first charity ride or looking to loose some weight and/or improve their cardio-vascular health.

This is a question we hear all the time when selling bikes in our bike shop... what is the difference between a bike from Canadian Tire, Sport Check, Walmart and a bike shop. In short... Lots... and very little.
When it comes down to it... a bike... is a bike, what determines how valuable and useful it is to you is what you can afford and how you intend to ride it. A $3000 mountain bike from a bike shop has a completely different capability capacity then a $350 bike from a bike shop, but that $350 bike shop bike and the $150 Canadian tire special have a smaller capability gap. For now, lets compare the $350 bike shop bike, and the $150 Canadian Tire Special.
Cold Weather Cycling

If you have never cycled in cold weather before, you will be surprised at how warm you will be! Cycling is an aerobic activity, which means that your body will produce heat-more than walking. Most first-time cold weather cyclists find that they have overdressed and are too hot.
It's more than likely that you already have clothes that will work for your legs and torso. Your extremities are the most challenging to keep warm - hands, feet, and head/face-and may require something extra.
